Summary: Ryo and Tatsuya have been best friends since they were young but unknown to Tatsuya, Ryo is in love with him. One day, something happened which made Ryo wish that he and Tatsuya were never friends and that he has all grown up. What happens when he wakes up one morning, all grown up without Tatsuya by his side?

Three men were lurking outside a hotel room. One tried peeking inside the room but it was impossible to see anything.
"Why does he have to sleep with all the lights turned off?" The man asked
"You're the only one who's scared of the dark here!"
"Agh! This is impossible. Maybe we should give up. Besides, you know how he is in the morning. He might kill all three of us."
"Shut up. I got a spare key from the girl at the front desk."
"Tsss. Sly."
"It's called using my charms stupid!"
"Shut up both of you! Let's just do this. Open the door." the third person said.
The guy holding the keycard carefully opened the door. It was dark inside the room. He can't believe a hotel room can be that dark. The curtains were clearly shut and not even light from a cellphone can be seen.
"Shhhh..." the youngest among the three said. They walked slowly towards the sleeping figure.
"Go. I'll count to three okay?" he said.
One guy went near the window and took hold of the curtain. The other at the foot of the bed and grabbed the end of the blanket. The youngest one stayed at the side of the bed with a bell on his hand.
"Ready...Go~"
The once peaceful and dark room was now filled with light coming from the sun and sound from an annoying bell. The person sleeping tried to cover his face with his blanket but the other already pulled it away.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS DOING?!" He sat up. His hair all messy, eyes still half closed and was starting to shiver because of the coldness.
"Good Morning Ryo-chaaaan~" All three guys said.
"Ugh!"
Ryo let his self fall face first into his pillow and tried to sleep.
*slap*
"Ouch!"
Yamapi who sat beside him slapped his back.
"You would catch a cold if you continue sleeping without a shirt." Yamapi said.
"You're really weird Ryo. You turn the aircon full blast, don't wear a shirt but cover yourself with layers of blankets." Kame said
"Add to that, you sleep in the dark." Jin said
"You're the only person here who doesn't sleep in the dark." Ryo told Jin.
"Hah! You're wrong! Kame sleeps with me so we both sleep with the lights on!" Jin said.
"It's because if he doesn't sleep with you, you'll whine and that won't be good for people 2 kms near you." Yamapi said
"And Kame sleeps with an eye mask, dummy!"Ryo added
"Tsk." Jin pouted in defeat.
Ryo got out of bed and got a shirt from his luggage.
"Is this supposed to be a prank or what?" Ryo asked when he sat back down on his bed.
"Uhmm..Well, manager-san asked us to wake you up and along the way; we decided to play a prank. So, YES?" Yamapi said
"Tsss. What does manager-san want? Isn't the concert like, hours away?" Ryo asked.
10 years has passed since Tatsuya left Japan to live in America with his parents. Nishikido Ryo, Yamashita Tomoshisa, Akanishi Jin and Kamenashi Kazuya became the country's number one idol group. They were discovered 4 years ago by their college senior Takizawa Hideaki who's part of Johnny's Entertainment.
He heard the four of them singing a song that Ryo wrote and asked them to drop by the agency. The owner of the agency, Johnny, liked all of them at first meeting. He persuaded all of them to join and promised to let them debut as a group. They all agreed after talking among themselves and since then, they became famous with numerous top hits songs which are mostly written by Ryo himself.
Tatsuya kept his promise. He mailed them every week and told him about his life in America. He told them his dad was doing well in his job and he was lucky that people in his school were nice to him but he also said how much he misses all of them especially Ryo. He also sends gifts during Christmas and birthdays and the three of them do the same. When they started college, they had less time to send mails. They were all busy and it doesn't help that Tatsuya lives away from home during college. When Ryo and the others started to enter the idol business, they became busier. Tatsuya still sends them mails but most of the time, they're on the road and would only get to read his mail when they come back. Ryo misses Tatsuya so much and wants to talk to him but his work doesn't allow him too.
"Johnny wanted to have lunch with you." Jin said
"Eh? Did he say why?" Ryo asked
"Nope. Manager-san just told us to wake you up."
Ryo sighed. There goes his precious sleep.
"Ne, Ryo-chan, go and take a bath now then go to the restaurant for your lunch with Johnny" Kame said
"Wait, you're not coming with me?"
"Nope. We need to talk to the concert staff for tonight’s show. We’ll see each other at the dome later"
"Oh. Okay."
The three were about to go out but Yamapi turned back and talked to Ryo.
"Do something with your hair. It's sticking out in wrong directions." Yamapi said
Yamapi ran out of the room before Ryo can do something to him.

Kame's phone vibrated
"Ah! This should be Tat-chan." Kame took out his phone.
"Eh? He's here?" Yamapi asked
Kame read Tatsuya's message and nodded as a response to Yamapi's question.
"What did he say?" Jin asked
"His plane just landed."
"Yosh! Let's go. Jin, go get the car." Yamapi said
"What? Why am I getting the car? You get the car!"
"Just get it Jin." Kame said
Tatsuya was standing with his luggage in the middle of the crowded airport. He was wearing a long striped hoodie shirt, pants and sunglasses. He was playing with his phone when someone from behind called him.
"TAT-CHAAAAN~"
He turned around and saw Kame, Jin, and Yamapi running towards him. He took off his sunglasses, smiled and waved at them.
Kame was the first one who hugged him.
"How've you been? Gahd you look amazing!" Kame said
"It's been long. I miss Japan and of course I miss you all so much! Where's Ryo?" Tatsuya asked
"Uhmm... Tat-chan, Yamapi has something to say about that."
"Huh?"
Two months ago, Kame got in touch with Tatsuya through email and told Jin and Yamapi about it. Ryo wasn't with them that time and Yamapi had a plan. He told them not to tell Ryo that they're communicating with Tatsuya. They'll let Tatsuya believe that Ryo also knows about him and would make it look like Ryo is sending messages to him. When their concert in Tokyo was scheduled, they decided to invite Tatsuya to watch it. Yamapi emailed him but he used Ryo's name so that Tatsuya will be sure to come. yamapi told Tatsuya everything and the other just had one of his eyebrows raised
"So he has no idea that i'm here?" Tatsuya asked
Yamapi nodded.
"And he doesn't know we're communicating with you these past few months." Jin said
"Then tell me why I'm here?"
"Because you want to see Ryo." Jin said
"And Ryo is where?"
"With Johnny."
"Wrong answer. The right one is that he is NOT here." Tatsuya said.
The three of them didn't say anything.
"Maybe I should go back." Tatsuya said
"No! Don't! Don't you want to see Ryo?" Yamapi stopped him
"Of course I want to. I want to see him so much. It's been 10 years."
"Then come and see the show. You'll see him there." Kame said
Tatsuya was thinking.
"Did you bring the song?" Yamapi asked Tatsuya
"What song?" Kame and Jin asked
"The song Ryo wrote for his 14th birthday. I sent it to Tatsuya as a Christmas present 5 years ago. I found it when I slept over at Ryo's house" Yamapi said
"Yes. I have it. Why?"
"I'm sure you know the words of the song."
"So?"
"Just come and see the show." Yamapi said.
Yamapi dragged Tatsuya out of the airport and inside the car while Kame and Jin followed carrying his luggage.

"Yamapi!!!!!"
Someone from outside called.
"There he goes. Good luck explaining" Kame said.
Ryo came inside the dressing room and approached Yamapi.
"What the hell are you doing!!!!" Ryo asked
"What? I didn't do anything." Yamapi said
"Who told you to give Johnny a copy of my song and how the hell did you get that! That was supposed to be private!" Ryo said
"It's not my fault you wrote a great song and Johnny liked it. About your next question, I saw it lying around your room the other day." Yamapi lied about the last one. Of course he had the song for years now.
"Ugh!"
Ryo threw his bag on the sofa and sat on the couch.
"So what did Johnny want with your song Ryo-chan?" Jin asked
"He changed my solo. I'm singing that song tonight." Ryo said
"EH? Really? What's the title?" Jin asked
"Code. I wrote that years ago and it's been a long time since I sang that. I can't even find my chords for that song." Ryo said
"You wrote it. You don't need a copy of your chords." Yamapi said
"it's all your fault." Ryo said
"What? It doesn't matter if you wrote that song years ago and that you haven't sang it in a while. You'll be able to sing it perfectly because you wrote that song with all you heart." Yamapi said
"Uwaaa~ now I'm curious! I want to hear that song!" Jin said.
Ryo stood up and got his guitar.
"Where you going? We need to practice some of our dance." Kame said.
"I already know the steps. Jin's the only one who messes up. Let him practice. I'll just be on the other room." Ryo said
"Ryo, can I borrow your spare guitar?" Yamapi asked
"Yeah, sure." Ryo replied and he was gone.
Yamapi took the spare guitar and went out of the dressing room. He entered the room that had the letters "VIP" on it.
"Tatsuya?" He called when he got in.
"I'm here." Tatsuya replied.
He was sitting on the couch and watching s movie.
"What's that?" Yamapi asked
"I dunno. Jin just gave it to me." Tatsuya said
"Anyway, here. You play the guitar right?" Yamapi said and handed him the guitar.
"What do you want me to do with it?"
"Uhmm... play it? Come on Tatsuya, what do you want to do with a guitar, put it on display?"
"What exactly do you want me to do tonight? Why am I here? I thought I was going to watch the concert?"
"You are going to watch but you're our special guest too. Just study this, okay?" Yamapi said and handed him a piece of paper.
"Concert will start in an hour. Ryo will perform his solo before our last song."
"So?"
"I just want to inform you."
15 minutes before the concert, Yamapi, Jin and Kame were already dressed and was waiting for Ryo to finish. Finally he came out and the four of them prayed for a successful and fun concert with the staff. The countdown started and the four of them were on standby. The concert kicked off and thousands of fans screamed and waved their penlights.
The first half of the concert ended and it was time for athe MC.
"Good Evening everyone!" The four of them greeted and the audience screamed
"Are you enjoying the show?" Yamapi asked
Another round of screaming.
"Eh? Too quiet maybe we shouldn't continue with the second part." Jin said
"EHHHHHHH?" the audience said
"Anyway, I have an announcement!" Jin said
"What is it?" Ryo asked
"Kame and I are married!" Jin said with a smile.
"Kyaaaaaa~" the audience reacted.
Kame smacked Jin's head. Everyone in the dome laughed including Ryo and Yamapi.
"He's kidding!" Kame announced
"What? We live in the same house." Jin said
"That doesn't make you two married." Ryo said
"But only married people live together." Jin said
"What? Idiot! Yamapi and I used to live together and we're not married!" Ryo said.
"I know that but only married people do what we do." Jin said
"And that is?" Yamapi asked
"Say it and you'll be looking for a new house." Kame told Jin.
Jin kept his mouth shut.
"So, Ryo-chan, how've you been lately?" Kame asked
"I’m fine. A little tired but I'm having fun." Ryo said.
"Miss someone lately?" Yamapi asked
Ryo looked at him with a confused face but still answered.
"Hmmm. I miss a lot of people."
Ryo gave him a what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-you look.
"Everyone, did you know that Ryo-chan is in love with one person for 10 years now?" Jin asked
Ryo's jaw dropped. He wanted to strangle Jin right that moment but he knows he can't do that. Not in front of these people.
Screams from the audience can be heard.
"Yeah! Actually, Ryo-chan is in love with his best friend! Right Ryo-chan?" Kame said.
"Ah... but Tat-chan lives in America now and they haven't seen each other for 10 years." Yamapi added
Ryo stood frozen on the stage. What was happening?
"Hey! Wait a minute; is today Let's-bully-Ryo day?" Ryo asked and gave his friends a death glare.
The three just laughed at him.
"Okay okay, we'll end here. Ryo-chan's been bullied too much today." Yamapi said
"Everyone, please enjoy the rest of the show!" Kame said and they all went back to get ready for the second part of the concert.
"What's up with you today?" Ryo asked when they were changing to thier costumes in the dressing room.
"Nothing. We were just having fun." Yamapi said
Kame and Jin just laughed at one corner.
"Well, it's not funny." Ryo said
"Tsk. Ryo-chan, don't get mad. I'm sure you'll thank us after the concert. Enjoy it, okay? and good luck on your solo." Yamapi said
The second part of the concert started. They sang a few group songs then went on to their solos.First up was Kame then Jin then Yamapi and the last one is Ryo.
Yamapi just finishd his solo and is going to introduce Ryo who is standing by with his guitar on the main stage.
"Everyone, Nishikido Ryo!!!!"
Spotlight was focused on Ryo and the fans screamed. He was wearing his favorite black shirt whose sleeves fall off his shoulders when he plays the guitar and his red pants. He was using his black guitarand was adjusting his mic stand.
"Uhmmm... I changed my solo for today. I wrote this song 10 years ago for someone really special. This is the first time I'm singing it in front of an audience. Please listen to it.
Ryo started to play his guitar and sing

He took off his guitar and ran on the runway towards Tatsuya. The other just stayed on his place and continued to play the guitar but didn't sing.
Ryo stopped a few feet away from Tatsuya.
"I'm back!" Tatsuya said
Ryo smiled.
"Why are you here?" Ryo asked
"It's all their fault" Tatsuya pointed at Yamapi,Jin and Kame who were now standing at the main stage and watching them.
Ryo looked back to his friends who were smiling too.
"Those idiots." He said
"Eh? You're not happy to see me?" Tatsuya asked.
Ryo walked closer to him until they were face to face. He placed his forehead against Tatsuya's forehead.
"I'm really happy to see you." Ryo said in a whisper and hugged Tatsuya.
Tatsuya chuckled.
"Remember my promise?" Tatsuya asked Ryo
Ryo pulled back and stared at him.
"Huh?"
Tatsuya grabbed his shirt and crushed their lips together.
"I remember now." Ryo said when Tatsuya stopped kissing him.
"Tatsuya, thanks for bringing me back." Ryo said and kissed Tatsuya in front of all the people in the dome.
A/N: Yey! It's done!Did you have a hard time finding this part? how was it? First, let me explain some stuff.
Hmmm.. let me see... about how Tatsuya looked when he arrived from Japan. Remember during Nakamaru's Shounen Club Premium? He and Ueda sang Your Side there right? The clothes Ueda was wearing during that performance is what I imagined him to wear during that scene in the fic. LOL
About Ryo's clothes for the solo. I bet you all know it by now. It's the same as what he was wearing during his performance of "Code" during NEWS' Never Ending Wonderful Story Con. :D
The song that Ryo gave Tatsuya at the airport! hahaha! obviously it's not "Code". It was supposed to be Aaron Carter's "I'm gonna miss you forever" coz it really fits what was happening with the fic but I tried changing some of the words (such as, girlfriend and girl) and it didn't sound right so I opted not to put it.
and last, the title! Bringing You Back, right? At first, it was supposed to be Ryo that's going to bring Tatsuya back but then, as I wrote the story, it became the opposite. Tatsuya was the one who brought Ryo back and if anyone is going to ask, yes, Ryo knows that he and Tatsuya had been on an alternate future hence the line "Thanks for bringing me back" at the ending. :P

"It's not my fault you wrote a great song and Johnny liked it. About your next question, I saw it lying around your room the other day." Yamapi lied about the last one. Of course he had the song for years now.
"Ugh!"
Ryo threw his bag on the sofa and sat on the couch.
"So what did Johnny want with your song Ryo-chan?" Jin asked
"He changed my solo. I'm singing that song tonight." Ryo said
"EH? Really? What's the title?" Jin asked
"Code. I wrote that years ago and it's been a long time since I sang that. I can't even find my chords for that song." Ryo said
"You wrote it. You don't need a copy of your chords." Yamapi said
"it's all your fault." Ryo said
"What? It doesn't matter if you wrote that song years ago and that you haven't sang it in a while. You'll be able to sing it perfectly because you wrote that song with all you heart." Yamapi said
"Uwaaa~ now I'm curious! I want to hear that song!" Jin said.
Ryo stood up and got his guitar.
"Where you going? We need to practice some of our dance." Kame said.
"I already know the steps. Jin's the only one who messes up. Let him practice. I'll just be on the other room." Ryo said
"Ryo, can I borrow your spare guitar?" Yamapi asked
"Yeah, sure." Ryo replied and he was gone.
Yamapi took the spare guitar and went out of the dressing room. He entered the room that had the letters "VIP" on it.
"Tatsuya?" He called when he got in.
"I'm here." Tatsuya replied.
He was sitting on the couch and watching s movie.
"What's that?" Yamapi asked
"I dunno. Jin just gave it to me." Tatsuya said
"Anyway, here. You play the guitar right?" Yamapi said and handed him the guitar.
"What do you want me to do with it?"
"Uhmm... play it? Come on Tatsuya, what do you want to do with a guitar, put it on display?"
"What exactly do you want me to do tonight? Why am I here? I thought I was going to watch the concert?"
"You are going to watch but you're our special guest too. Just study this, okay?" Yamapi said and handed him a piece of paper.
"Concert will start in an hour. Ryo will perform his solo before our last song."
"So?"
"I just want to inform you."
15 minutes before the concert, Yamapi, Jin and Kame were already dressed and was waiting for Ryo to finish. Finally he came out and the four of them prayed for a successful and fun concert with the staff. The countdown started and the four of them were on standby. The concert kicked off and thousands of fans screamed and waved their penlights.
The first half of the concert ended and it was time for athe MC.
"Good Evening everyone!" The four of them greeted and the audience screamed
"Are you enjoying the show?" Yamapi asked
Another round of screaming.
"Eh? Too quiet maybe we shouldn't continue with the second part." Jin said
"EHHHHHHH?" the audience said
"Anyway, I have an announcement!" Jin said
"What is it?" Ryo asked
"Kame and I are married!" Jin said with a smile.
"Kyaaaaaa~" the audience reacted.
Kame smacked Jin's head. Everyone in the dome laughed including Ryo and Yamapi.
"He's kidding!" Kame announced
"What? We live in the same house." Jin said
"That doesn't make you two married." Ryo said
"But only married people live together." Jin said
"What? Idiot! Yamapi and I used to live together and we're not married!" Ryo said.
"I know that but only married people do what we do." Jin said
"And that is?" Yamapi asked
"Say it and you'll be looking for a new house." Kame told Jin.
Jin kept his mouth shut.
"So, Ryo-chan, how've you been lately?" Kame asked
"I’m fine. A little tired but I'm having fun." Ryo said.
"Miss someone lately?" Yamapi asked
Ryo looked at him with a confused face but still answered.
"Hmmm. I miss a lot of people."
Ryo gave him a what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-you look.
"Everyone, did you know that Ryo-chan is in love with one person for 10 years now?" Jin asked
Ryo's jaw dropped. He wanted to strangle Jin right that moment but he knows he can't do that. Not in front of these people.
Screams from the audience can be heard.
"Yeah! Actually, Ryo-chan is in love with his best friend! Right Ryo-chan?" Kame said.
"Ah... but Tat-chan lives in America now and they haven't seen each other for 10 years." Yamapi added
Ryo stood frozen on the stage. What was happening?
"Hey! Wait a minute; is today Let's-bully-Ryo day?" Ryo asked and gave his friends a death glare.
The three just laughed at him.
"Okay okay, we'll end here. Ryo-chan's been bullied too much today." Yamapi said
"Everyone, please enjoy the rest of the show!" Kame said and they all went back to get ready for the second part of the concert.
"What's up with you today?" Ryo asked when they were changing to thier costumes in the dressing room.
"Nothing. We were just having fun." Yamapi said
Kame and Jin just laughed at one corner.
"Well, it's not funny." Ryo said
"Tsk. Ryo-chan, don't get mad. I'm sure you'll thank us after the concert. Enjoy it, okay? and good luck on your solo." Yamapi said
The second part of the concert started. They sang a few group songs then went on to their solos.First up was Kame then Jin then Yamapi and the last one is Ryo.
Yamapi just finishd his solo and is going to introduce Ryo who is standing by with his guitar on the main stage.
"Everyone, Nishikido Ryo!!!!"
Spotlight was focused on Ryo and the fans screamed. He was wearing his favorite black shirt whose sleeves fall off his shoulders when he plays the guitar and his red pants. He was using his black guitarand was adjusting his mic stand.
"Uhmmm... I changed my solo for today. I wrote this song 10 years ago for someone really special. This is the first time I'm singing it in front of an audience. Please listen to it.
Ryo started to play his guitar and sing

He was about to sing the second verse when he heard another guitar playing. A spotlight focused at the end of the runway. Someone was standing at the center stage and was holding his guitar. The person sang the second verse of his song.

The person singing looked back at him and smiled. Ryo can't believe it. Only one person smiles like that. Tatsuya. He didn't even care if the song was still playing. He took off his guitar and ran on the runway towards Tatsuya. The other just stayed on his place and continued to play the guitar but didn't sing.
Ryo stopped a few feet away from Tatsuya.
"I'm back!" Tatsuya said
Ryo smiled.
"Why are you here?" Ryo asked
"It's all their fault" Tatsuya pointed at Yamapi,Jin and Kame who were now standing at the main stage and watching them.
Ryo looked back to his friends who were smiling too.
"Those idiots." He said
"Eh? You're not happy to see me?" Tatsuya asked.
Ryo walked closer to him until they were face to face. He placed his forehead against Tatsuya's forehead.
"I'm really happy to see you." Ryo said in a whisper and hugged Tatsuya.
Tatsuya chuckled.
"Remember my promise?" Tatsuya asked Ryo
Ryo pulled back and stared at him.
"Huh?"
Tatsuya grabbed his shirt and crushed their lips together.
"I remember now." Ryo said when Tatsuya stopped kissing him.
"Tatsuya, thanks for bringing me back." Ryo said and kissed Tatsuya in front of all the people in the dome.
A/N: Yey! It's done!Did you have a hard time finding this part? how was it? First, let me explain some stuff.
Hmmm.. let me see... about how Tatsuya looked when he arrived from Japan. Remember during Nakamaru's Shounen Club Premium? He and Ueda sang Your Side there right? The clothes Ueda was wearing during that performance is what I imagined him to wear during that scene in the fic. LOL
About Ryo's clothes for the solo. I bet you all know it by now. It's the same as what he was wearing during his performance of "Code" during NEWS' Never Ending Wonderful Story Con. :D
The song that Ryo gave Tatsuya at the airport! hahaha! obviously it's not "Code". It was supposed to be Aaron Carter's "I'm gonna miss you forever" coz it really fits what was happening with the fic but I tried changing some of the words (such as, girlfriend and girl) and it didn't sound right so I opted not to put it.
and last, the title! Bringing You Back, right? At first, it was supposed to be Ryo that's going to bring Tatsuya back but then, as I wrote the story, it became the opposite. Tatsuya was the one who brought Ryo back and if anyone is going to ask, yes, Ryo knows that he and Tatsuya had been on an alternate future hence the line "Thanks for bringing me back" at the ending. :P
