Summary: Ryo and Tatsuya have been best friends since they were young but unknown to Tatsuya, Ryo is in love with him. One day, something happened which made Ryo wish that he and Tatsuya were never friends and that he has all grown up. What happens when he wakes up one morning, all grown up without Tatsuya by his side?

The sun was setting and they decided to sit on the sand to watch it. Tatsuya was captured by the beauty of the sunset. His knees brought up to his chest and his arms hugging them in place. He never took his eyes of the view. Ryo, on the other hand, is looking at another scene.
He's aware of the beauty of the sunset but that is not what he is watching. He is watching how Tatsuya looked at the sunset. To him, Tatsuya is far more beautiful than any sunset in the world.
When the sun was gone, Tatsuya lay back on the sand and sighed.
"Hmmm? What is it?" Ryo asked.
"Nothing. I just feel free." Tatsuya said. His eyes closed.
Ryo chuckled and when Tatsuya heard him, he opened his eyes and sat back up.
"Are you laughing at me?" Tatsuya asked.
"No. I'm laughing at us." Ryo said
"Us? Why?"
Ryo didn't answer. He stood up and walked back towards their villa.
"Oi! Wait for me!" Tatsuya said as he stood up and walked after Ryo.
They entered the villa and Tatsuya flopped down the bed face down.
"Ahhhhh... The bed is so soft." He said. He grabbed one pillow and hugged it.
"And the pillows are fluffy too!!" he said as he yawned.
Ryo smiled. How cute, he thought. He left the room to get new clothes and when he came back, he saw Tatsuya still on the bed.
"Tatsuya, do you want to take the shower before me or you want me to go first?" Ryo asked
Tatsuya didn't answer. Ryo approached him and checked whether the other was asleep. Hair was covering Tatsuya's face so he brushed them with his hands and he found that Tatsuya was indeed sleeping. He caressed the other's cheek and admired his face. He was surprised when he heard Tatsuya grunt. He took his hands away from the others face and he grabbed the blanket and put it on Tatsuya.
After taking a shower, Ryo grabbed the cushions from the sofa and arranged them on the floor. He got one pillow from the bed and slept.
Tatsuya woke up in the middle of the night. He checked the time. It was 2 in the morning. He sat up and realized he hasn't taken a shower after going to the beach because he fell asleep. He checked the room and found Ryo sleeping on the floor. He quietly opened the cabinets and got a new set of clothes. He took a quick shower then fixed his bed. He heard Ryo move in his sleep and Tatsuya can say that the other was uncomfortable in his position. Tatsuya approached Ryo and woke him up.
"Get on the bed." Tatsuya whispered to Ryo's ear.
A low grunt can be heard from Ryo.
"Get up Ryo. Your back will if you continue sleeping like this. Come on!"
Tatsuya pulled Ryo from the floor. The other stood up but still had his eyes closed. Tatsuya helped him get on the bed. Once Ryo was settled, Tatsuya slid in the bed and slept.
The wind blew hard and Ryo felt cold. Eyes closed, he felt for his blanket but he couldn't find it. His hands wander around the bed and it found a warm place. Ryo packed himself into that place which happens to be under Tatsuya's arm.
Ryo woke up the next morning and realized that he wasn't sleeping on the floor anymore. He adjusted his vision noticed that he was facing Tatsuya's nape and that his hands were on his waist. He quickly pulled his hands off Tatsuya and backed away.
He asked himself how he got there then he remembered about his dream. Tatsuya was telling him to get on the bed or else his back will hurt. Well apparently, it wasn't a dream. He was just too sleepy that he didn't realize that he was pulled up and taken on the bed.
"Baka!" Ryo said.
Tatsuya heard rolled on the bed and slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw is Ryo sitting at the edge of the bed looking at him. He rubbed his eyes and sat up.
"Good Morning." Tatsuya said.
"Good Morning. uhmmm.... I'm sorry. I thought I was dreaming when you helped me on the bed." Ryo said.
"You were going to hurt your back and besides, the cushions were breaking apart." Tatsuya said.
There was silence between the two of them and Ryo found it awkward.
"I'd get our breakfast." he finally said. He got up from the bed and went to the living room to call the villa staff and ask them to bring their breakfast in. While Ryo was on the phone, Tatsuya changed to his beach clothes. He was putting on his shirt when Ryo came in.
"Oh... Sorry. I didn't know you were changing."
Tatsuya pulled down his shirt immediately when he heard Ryo's voice.
"It's okay..." Tatsuya said. He stood there staring at Ryo.
"Uhmmm... I'm going to change my clothes." Ryo said
"Ah! Right. I'll be in the living room."
Tatsuya walked out of the room and settled on the couch. He turned on the TV and watched some NEWS. After a while, the door bell rang and it was the villa staff. Tatsuya let them in and they prepared the breakfast on the dining table. Ryo came out of the room a few minutes later and told the staff to clean up the villa when they go to the beach.
They ate their breakfast in silence. Ryo looking over at Tatsuya once in a while.
"Is there a problem?" Tatsuya finally asked when he Ryo glanced at him again.
"Eh?"
"You've been stealing glances for the last 10 minutes." Tatsuya said.
"Really? I thought it was longer than that." RYo said ans grinned at Tatsuya.
"You're an idiot." Tatsuya said then took a bite from his waffle.
Ryo laughed loudly at what Tatsuya said.
"And now you're crazy." Tatsuya said.
"Sorry. I just think you look...erm...beautiful." Ryo said.
"Excuse me?"
"Ok...let me rephrase that. You look good."
Tatsuya just glared at Ryo while the other continued eating. The grin on his face never faded.
Once Ryo was done eating, he grabbed Tatsuya's hand and dragged him out of the villa and down to the beach. Tatsuya was still holding his spoon and threw it
at the back of Ryo's head when the other didn't let him go.
"Aw! What was that?" Ryo asked as he rubbed the back of his head.
"I wasn't done eating." Tatsuya said.
"You're too slow. I wanted to go to the beach and surf." Ryo said.
"You could've gone without me!" Tatsuya said in a firm voice.
"Oh. Yeah. Sorry." Ryo said.
It was too late. Tatsuya already wasn't in the mood to continue eating and his spoon is now covered with sand.
"Let's surf!" Ryo said to Tatsuya.
"No thanks. I don’t know how to."
"I’ll teach you." Ryo said and smiled at him
Very cute. Tatsuya thought but nope, he doesn't want to surf.
"So?" Ryo waited for his answer.
"I don't want too. The sun is up and if I surf, I'll burn myself. Johnny would kill me." Tatsuya said.
"Hmmm... I guess you're right. Oh! By the way, there's an umbrella over there. The staff put it up for us to place our things if we wanted to go to the beach. You can stay there." Ryo pointed at the big umbrella placed in the middle of the sand. It was big enough to fit two people.
"Okay... I'll stay there. I'll read a book or something." Tatsuya said
"Build a sand castle." Ryo said
"What?"
"Never mind."
They walked in different directions. Ryo went to get his surfing equipment while Tatsuya got a magazine from one of the staffs and went under the umbrella.
Tatsuya has already finished reading the magazine and he was now feeling bored. He put his sun glasses on and watched Ryo surf. He can see how much Ryo was enjoying himself. He fell a few times and some of those falls were really funny that Tatsuya laughed on his own but Ryo would get up every single fall and ride the wave again. When he was tired of watching Ryo he played with the sand.
He kept on drawing and drawing but ended up erasing all of them. Finally, he wrote his name. He rested his chin on his knees.
Slowly he drew a heart after his name then wrote Ryo's name
Tatsuya <3 Ryo
It was clearly written on the sand.
Ryo who's had enough of the wave carefully sneaked behind Tatsuya. He was planning to surprise the other when he saw what was written on the sand. It brought the smile back to his face.
"What are you doing?" Ryo asked.
"Uh--N--nothing" Tatsuya said as he tried to hide the words he has written
"Writing something on the sand?" Ryo asked
"N-no...I was just drawing." Tatsuya said
"Can I see?"
Ryo tried to peak but Tatsuya already erased the writings.
"I'm not good at drawing" Tatsuya said
"I know that. Even when we were young you weren't that good" Ryo said.
"Dry yourself. You're dripping wet." Tatsuya said
When he said this, Ryo shook his head like a dog and Tatsuya was sprinkled with water from Ryo's hair.
"What are you doing?!" Tatsuya asked
"Drying myself." Ryo said.
Tatsuya glared at him. Ryo ran away and Tatsuya ran after him. They ran around the beach like a bunch of little kids. Ryo looked back to see if Tatsuya was still running after him but stopped when he realized that he was alone. He looked around and he couldn't see anyone.
Tatsuya hid behind a tree and watched as Ryo looked for him. When Ryo turned his back, Tatsuya quietly ran at him and jumped on his back.
"Gotcha!" Tatsuya said as he locked his arms on Ryo's neck.
"Eh? Where did you come from?" Ryo asked
Tatsuya just laughed at Ryo. The other tried to get Tatsuya off his back but he couldn't. He thought of an idea.
"Tatsuya, get off or else."
"Or else what---Ryo!!! Put me down!"
Ryo reached for Tatsuya's legs and locked his arms under Tatsuya's knees.
"Let's go! It will be better if you hold tight." Ryo said
He ran around the beach with Tatsuya on his back and from time to time, he would pretend to drop Tatsuya which made the other grip him tighter. Ryo was laughing the whole time he had Tatsuya on his back while the other would tell him to put him down every time Ryo stopped running.
When Ryo was tired, he sat down on the sand and let go of Tatsuya. He lay on the sand and breathed heavily.
"You're heavy." Ryo said. Tatsuya sat beside him and stared.
"Stupid! WHy did you ran around and carry if I'm heavy?"
"Because I want to."
"What kind of reason is that?"
"I want to feel what it's like to have you." Ryo said.
Tatsuya was speechless. He doesn't know whether Ryo is serious or not.
Ryo sat up and stared back at him. He tucked the loose hairs on Tatsuya's face behind the other's ears. He then placed his hand on Tatsuya's face and caressed his cheeks. Tatsuya closed his eyes and just tried to feel Ryo's hands on his face.
"Open your eyes." Ryo whispered to Tatsuya
When he did, what he sees first is Ryo's eyes. Their eyes were locked with each other. Ryo pressed his forehead to Tatsuya's but he never took his eyes of the other's. Tatsuya was about to close his eyes again but Ryo stopped him.
"Don't close them."
"Why?"
"I want you to see that everything is real"
"What are you talking about?"
"Promise me you won't close them."
Tatsuya nodded. "I won't"
Ryo smiled then the next thing he did made Tatsuya's heart jump.
Ryo pressed his lips to Tatsuya's and kissed him. It wasn't a rough kiss. It was soft and passionate but Tatsuya can feel how needy Ryo felt. Tatsuya tried his best to fulfill his promise. He tried not to close his eyes and moaned into Ryo's kisses.
Ryo smiled in between his kisses then pulled back. He stared at Tatsuya and smiled widely at him. Tatsuya was still speechless and not moving after Ryo pulled back. Ryo lowered his hand from Tatsuya's cheek to the corner of Tatsuya's lips. He wiped the corner of Tatsuya's lips with his thumb then slightly chuckled.
Tatsuya stared at him with disbelief. How can he chuckle like that after what happened? Tatsuya asked in his thoughts.
Ryo lay back on the sand and stared at the sky.
"It's just like you." Ryo said.
"What is?"
"The sky."
Tatsuya also looked up.
"Huh?" He asked
"It's just like you. Beautiful and graceful" Ryo said.
Tatsuya blushed at Ryo's comment. They both didn't say anything after that.
It was already afternoon and Tatsuya just got out of the shower. After what happened earlier, he and Ryo didn't talk much. They both felt awkward but then, the smile on their faces can't be erased.
Ryo went back to the villa with him but left after taking a quick shower and changing his clothes. He just told Tatsuya he'll be back before dinner time. He dried his hair and put on his clothes when his phone beeped. He checked his inbox and saw Ryo's message.
From: Ryo-chan
Tatsuya, I'm at the beach. Dinner's ready.
Tatsuya closed his phone and placed it on his pocket. He gave his hair a final fix then went down to the beach. He was walking down the shore when he noticed a stage was set up not far away from where he was standing. Surrounding the stage were dozens of lit candles.
Tatsuya was curious so he walked towards it.
When he was close, he noticed that someone was sitting in the middle of the stage with a guitar in hand. He walked closer and then he realized that the person was actually Ryo.
When he was close enough, Ryo turned on his microphone and started to play a song.

When he did, what he sees first is Ryo's eyes. Their eyes were locked with each other. Ryo pressed his forehead to Tatsuya's but he never took his eyes of the other's. Tatsuya was about to close his eyes again but Ryo stopped him.
"Don't close them."
"Why?"
"I want you to see that everything is real"
"What are you talking about?"
"Promise me you won't close them."
Tatsuya nodded. "I won't"
Ryo smiled then the next thing he did made Tatsuya's heart jump.
Ryo pressed his lips to Tatsuya's and kissed him. It wasn't a rough kiss. It was soft and passionate but Tatsuya can feel how needy Ryo felt. Tatsuya tried his best to fulfill his promise. He tried not to close his eyes and moaned into Ryo's kisses.
Ryo smiled in between his kisses then pulled back. He stared at Tatsuya and smiled widely at him. Tatsuya was still speechless and not moving after Ryo pulled back. Ryo lowered his hand from Tatsuya's cheek to the corner of Tatsuya's lips. He wiped the corner of Tatsuya's lips with his thumb then slightly chuckled.
Tatsuya stared at him with disbelief. How can he chuckle like that after what happened? Tatsuya asked in his thoughts.
Ryo lay back on the sand and stared at the sky.
"It's just like you." Ryo said.
"What is?"
"The sky."
Tatsuya also looked up.
"Huh?" He asked
"It's just like you. Beautiful and graceful" Ryo said.
Tatsuya blushed at Ryo's comment. They both didn't say anything after that.
It was already afternoon and Tatsuya just got out of the shower. After what happened earlier, he and Ryo didn't talk much. They both felt awkward but then, the smile on their faces can't be erased.
Ryo went back to the villa with him but left after taking a quick shower and changing his clothes. He just told Tatsuya he'll be back before dinner time. He dried his hair and put on his clothes when his phone beeped. He checked his inbox and saw Ryo's message.
From: Ryo-chan
Tatsuya, I'm at the beach. Dinner's ready.
Tatsuya closed his phone and placed it on his pocket. He gave his hair a final fix then went down to the beach. He was walking down the shore when he noticed a stage was set up not far away from where he was standing. Surrounding the stage were dozens of lit candles.
Tatsuya was curious so he walked towards it.
When he was close, he noticed that someone was sitting in the middle of the stage with a guitar in hand. He walked closer and then he realized that the person was actually Ryo.
When he was close enough, Ryo turned on his microphone and started to play a song.

When he finished singing, Ryo went down the stage and approached Tatsuya.
"Ryo..."
Ryo pulled him closer and hugged him.
"Those words are for you. I love you Tatsuya. I love ever since I met you." Ryo said.
